Atlanta, Georgia – United States – Dr. Wesley Anderson, doctor of clinical hypnotherapy in Atlanta, announced the launching of his new hypnosis blog this morning. His stated intent is to inspire discussion on hypnosis in Atlanta and how it can be used to help individuals quit smoking, lose weight, or banish a phobia. He also announced that his office has moved three floors down to Suite 720 in the Aaron Building on East Paces Ferry Road.

“Hypnosis is an effective technique in the elimination of bad habits and phobias,” said an office spokesperson. “Dr. Anderson, with this blog, will answer any questions that patients or interested parties might have about the process. He’ll also discuss any new techniques and information that is being distributed on hypnosis, including the use of neuro linguistic programming (NLP).”

NLP is defined by hypnotherapists as the “study of subjective experience”. In layman’s terms it is exactly what it sounds like, interpreting the language of thoughts, feelings and emotions and reprogramming it for a desired result. Hypnotists essentially teach their patients how to think differently, to associate a specific thought with a different behavior instead of the harmful one that they are practicing now.

“There are many mysteries with the human mind that have not been solved yet,” said our spokesperson. “What people respond to and why is one of the areas where Dr. Anderson has studied extensively. His smoking hypnosis and weight loss hypnosis techniques utilize NLP and have been effective for dozens of satisfied patients. There just isn’t a more effective way to kick the smoking or over-eating habits.”

Studies conducted on the use of hypnosis to quit smoking show that roughly 90% of patients who use this method are still smoke-free after six months. The numbers seem to be fairly even between men and women and it’s a common belief among patients that hypnosis is a healthier method of eliminating their smoking habit than the use of substitutes such as lozenges or nicotine gum.
