PostHeaderIcon Weight Loss Hypnosis Video

I've recently started working through our back catalogue of free hypnosis MP3s at Free Hypnosis Treatment to convert them into a video format.

The first to be released is this weight loss hypnosis session. It was recorded earlier this year by clinical hypnotherapist Jon Rhodes DHyp as a joint promotional effort between Free Hypnosis Treatment and HypnoBusters. If you are looking to lose a little weight after Thanksgiving or before the seasonal excesses then this video can be of help to you.

It works by communicating with your unconscious mind, the home of your emotional reactions and habits. In this case the hypnosis session will work on your eating habits, encouraging you to eat smaller meals and snacks containing healthy foods.

If you have enjoyed this free weight loss hypnosis video you might like to buy our pair of weight loss MP3 downloads at HypnoBusters, Sensible Eating and Exercise Motivation.

PostHeaderIcon Free Hypnosis Videos Attracting Attention

On November 5th 2009 HypnoBusters added a new section to their already expansive hypnosis website . It contained a selection of free hypnosis videos recorded by clinical hypnotherapist Jon Rhodes and its popularity almost took HypnoBusters by surprise.

“We expected that the video section would prove to be a success but not on the scale it has been so far. We just hope it continues and that we’re able to continue adding new hypnosis videos to the section on a regular basis.” Jon Rhodes DHyp said.

Indeed the video section has attracted literally thousands of visitors who have taken advantage of the free hypnosis treatment provided and left a number of impressed comments.

HypnoBusters has been open for just eighteen months but in that short time it has greatly impressed visitors and customers alike. With a wealth of free articles and samples, HypnoBusters has turned many doubtful of the practice of hypnosis into believers. In particular their choice of affordable hypnosis MP3s have allowed many to try this powerful tool of self improvement for themselves.

You can experience hypnosis for yourself by trying one of their offerings at the hypnosis video section.

PostHeaderIcon Hypnosis - A Cure For Hangovers

Along with offering entertainment for people who like to chuckle at the clowning of others, hypnosis furthermore has a serious curative side to it named hypnotherapy. Conventionally hypnotherapy is seen as support for quitting smoking, losing weight, and phobias. While this is true, hypnotherapy can do so much more - indeed it can even remedy your hangover.

A hypnotic state of mind is not the magical supernatural condition that it is frequently portrayed as. It is actually a very calm organic frame of mind that many of us slip into several times a day. It is the frame of mind we achieve when we are daydreaming, or when we are entranced by an entertaining TV program and lose track of time. In a trance our conscious minds are tuned down, permitting our unconscious mind to be completely open to the idea of change. Our unconscious mind is the section that is in charge of our behavior and instincts, and it also manages many of our automatic tasks such as exhalation and perspiring.

Pain is not truly a real and concrete thing if you consider it. Rather it is a mechanism that our brain and body uses in order to shield us from damage. The sensation of pain aids us to move awfully fast when we handle something that is harmful to us, and keeps us focused on shielding damaged parts until they are restored to health.

In 2004, Derbyshire and his assistants conducted a study which explained that the subjects detailed feelings of pain when they were told a probe was going to be hot. The probe that contacted them was not heated, but because the mind expected a painful experience, it produced the sensation.

Since the brain produces the sensation of pain, it can also easily eliminate it. A hypnotists can basically persuade, by the use of suggestion, that there is no longer any {damage|harm being done~, and the brain will stop interpreting pain. It is really a fairly clear cut practice, and is one of the least demanding therapies for a hypnotherapist. Smoking addicts for example are far more stubborn than hangovers!

A hypnotist should be cautious when eliminating pain. As I already wrote, pain can be a very useful tool to maintain our well being and survival. If you eliminated the pain from an individual's leg for instance, they may continue walking on it, causing even more damage. If you know that your thumping headache is caused purely by the previous night's excesses, then it is OK to proceed with hypnotherapy. Nonetheless I ask you, don't abuse this and down even more alcohol just because you can now 'get away' without the pain.

As well as veiling the problem, hypnotherapy can also get to the root reason of your hangovers, and this is much more helpful long term. A hypnotherapist can talk to the unconscious mind. As I pointed out previously, this is the section of the mind that is accountable for our habits and wants. A well trained hypnotherapist can actually retune the unconscious and modify its desires. A hypnotist could for example impart suggestions that eliminate your desire to drink alcohol, and/or switch to the sort of drinks that are less probably to leave you hungover the next morning. A hypnotist could in fact give you the urge to drink a pint of water before going to bed, in order to reduce the effects of a hangover the next day.

PostHeaderIcon Hypnosis Used in Pain Management in Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma can be a painful cancer. Over half of the pleural mesothelioma patients experience pain in the chest which can be intense and severe enough to require narcotics to alleviate the pain and discomfort.

Not willing to take any more drugs, some mesothelioma patients are turning to hypnosis as a way to manage their pain. Hypnosis, once shunned by the medical profession, is becoming more popular in clinical settings helping people stop smoking, lose weight, and now, deal with pain.

Hpynotherapy, when performed by a trained specialist, can be a powerful and effective procedure. A hypnotist brings a patient to a state of high concentration allowing him to have a strict focus. The person then "projects" himself to another place or state where he can block pain awareness or substitute other sensations for painful ones.

Hypnosis is considered an unconventional therapy and is often used with other holistic treatments including yoga and meditation. Hypnosis is not effective for everyone.

PostHeaderIcon SAS Vet Helping Former Servicemen With Hypnosis

A FORMER SAS veteran has lost everything in his quest to help former servicemen who have been mentally scarred by conflict.

Bob Paxman, who lives in the Forest of Dean, has set up a treatment developed by ex-servicemen for ex-servicemen called Talking2Minds.

It helps soldiers deal with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other stress-related illnesses.

Mr Paxman, who suffered from PTSD for more than 12 years after leaving the SAS, claims to have helped successfully treat nearly 80 cases of PTSD since the charity's inception in February 2009.

In order to fund the treatment, Mr Paxman has spent upwards of £200

He has also sold his old car and now he is on the verge of losing his home.

"It is crunch time," he said.

"But lives are changing as a result of the treatment and I strongly believe in it.

"We have cured people who have had mental health issues for more than 27 years."

Mr Paxman, who served for four years in the SAS, uses a variety of therapy and hypnosis techniques to help ex-soldiers.

"We have a unique system to treat PTSD and there is no other like it on the planet," he said. "We have treated people who have been declared clinically insane and they are now well.

"We have got a product that works, now we just need the money."

The Marketing Farm, a Cheltenham-based marketing and PR consultancy business, has stepped in to help Mr Paxman raise a much-needed £100,000.

Matthew Rymer, managing director of The Marketing Farm, has urged people to back Mr Paxman's efforts.

He said: "Bob is desperate to help these ex-soldiers."

Anyone who wants to offer help should call 01242 222 878.

PostHeaderIcon Hypnosis Effect is Very Real

Considering the growing popularity of hypnosis in treating various health conditions, a new study finds the "very real" effect of the procedure on the brain.

Hypnosis has long been used to help individuals stop smoking, lose weight and overcome irritable bowel syndrome. Its influence on the brain, however, was never confirmed.

According to a study published in Consciousness and Cognition, following hypnosis, a decreased activity is seen in the parts of the brain linked with daydreaming or letting the mind wander.

Such patterns, however, are absent in the brain images of those who were not susceptible to being hypnotized.

"Our study shows hypnosis is real," stressed lead researcher William McGeown, adding that the changes were due to hypnosis and not just simple relaxation.

The psychologist concluded that hypnosis improves concentration through "priming" the subject to respond more effectively to suggestions, shutting off the distracting activities.

The latest edition of Ask The Hypnotherapist is on the site. This month clinical hypnotherapist Jon Rhodes answers the following questions:

Are there any forums or communities on the internet that are good for talking about hypnotherapy?

How long before I can expect hypnotic suggestions to take root in my unconscious mind?

Does hypnosis always work for everybody?

I’m interested in learning stage hypnosis. Do you perform shows? If you do where/how did you learn?

I really enjoyed your article on Paul McKenna. Do you plan to write anymore personality profiles on other famous hypnotherapists or self improvement experts?

PostHeaderIcon Hypnosis for the Great American Smokeout 2009

Hypnosis is a great way to end your habit. In honor of the Great American Smokeout 2009, let's look at how hypnosis works in smoking cessation.

Smoking can be triggered by many things, peer influence, as an avenue for letting out negative emotions resulting from loss due to death, divorce/ separation, exam failure or job etc. The relaxation one thinks one gets at that moment makes them forget about their present problems. What starts as a puff, turns to two, three and before you know it, you are totally hooked to the substance. Your body learns to associate certain occurrences with the need for a smoke. After smoking for sometime, you realize how embarrassing it is, especially when you develop an urge to smoke at your sister’s wedding where you are the best man and they are ready to take their vows, the urge is so strong that you feel like dying, or when dinner is served at your in-laws house or a public place clearly designated as a ‘no smoking zone’ etc. or better still, when your doctor gives you an ultimatum.

This is the point where you desperately try to quit smoking but after going through devastating withdrawal symptoms, irritability, weight gain, anxiety, cravings and stress, you finally end up smoking again and resigning yourself to fate. If you identify with the above and you are reading this, do not give up, this article will show you a very easy way of dealing with your smoking problem. Here, we introduce hypnosis as a ‘quit smoking approach’ which is easy to follow and has absolutely no unwanted side effects.

Hypnosis is used to describe a situation where a person’s body and mind are subjected to total relaxation after exposure to certain hypnotic techniques. Hypnotism provides an avenue where an individual is made to focus on the solution to his or her problems while in such a relaxed mood and this result in the person examining what they are going through and actually coming to terms with the problem and developing a willingness to positively change it.

During hypnotherapy, the ‘working mind’ and body connects with the subconscious mind, beyond rationalization and realities of this world. Hypnotists take people to the ‘ideal world’ if only for a short period of time and feed them with positivity messages and solutions to their problems by reprogramming their subconscious minds and this results in altered behavior.

Hypnosis is highly recommended to smokers because experts assert that it has an almost 70% success rate, there are no chemicals or drugs used and one is able to overcome the withdrawal symptoms more easily and when hypnosis is carried out more regularly, the smoker not only breaks the habit but also learns to lead a more positive life as hypnosis gives an individual the energy and spirit they need to propel them towards possibilities.

There are various ways in which a smoker can use hypnosis to quit smoking. One is through administering self-hypnosis and the other is engaging the help of an expert on hypnotherapy. Self-hypnosis can be achieved through purchasing CDs containing programs which have been designed to take one through the process of relaxation. There are very many audio and video hypnosis programs available in the market, and you want to do your research and ensure that the recorded product you purchase was developed by a clinical hypnotist and is based on years of actual client experience. Whether with the help of a hypnotist or self, the programs allow the the thinking process of the patient change in positive ways to enable them to change their smoking habits.

Hypnotists use Neuro Linguistic Programs (NLP) and other hypnosis methods to take a smoker through the process of breaking habitual associations with certain things or occurrences. For example, if a smoker develops the urge for a smoke when walking, or when stressed, the hypnotherapist makes this actions look unattractive to the smoker such that when there is a recurrence of such actions, the smoker refrains from smoking. The hypnotherapist may take the patient through the risks and embarrassment smoking exposes one to or expose the patient to a smoke free world, the smoker is attracted to this world and purposes to change.

If you are addicted to smoking and you have read this, go ahead and try it out. Look for an expert in this field and start right away and you will never regret your decision.
